What about co-payment?

As most people are aware, most insurance plans ask that members pay “co-payments” at every doctor visit.

If you don’t know if your insurance requires a “co-pay”, please take a moment and call your insurance company and ask them. It will save us all time.

Co Pays are collected at the start of visits and the insurance plan agreements require their collection (i.e. can’t be waived).

They are made for short visits as well as longer visits.
They are made at “just a follow up visit” as well as for “new problems”.
Co-pays are collected even if the focus of person’s visit is “just needing medication re-ordered” or “just needing blood pressure check”.

Cash, personal checks, credit cards or debit cards are all accepted.
Discover card, at this time, is not.

I can give you a receipt for your co-pay if you should choose but I don’t routinely give receipts in the name of saving paper and time.

If you think about it, Co Pays are very small charges compared to divorce lawyer fees. Then again, what isn’t.
