When are you open?

I see patients from 6am to 9pm Monday to Friday
We are usually open holidays
I see patients from 6am to 7pm Saturday
Sunday is mostly a paperwork day but if needed I will see patients then as well.

What is the way to make an appointment?

By far, the best way is to send me an email.
In it, you pick a proposed date and time for a visit.
I will write back and confirm or offer a different time.
Do not simply tell me when you are coming and then show up.
Wait for confirmation.

The only people who are allowed to call on telephone to make an appointment, are those who don’t know how to use email.

I do this to save time and meet the needs of the patients.
Appointment making by email is a free service.
Even if you need an “appointment immediately” Still email please. Please.

What is the way to cancel an appointment?

Email or Fax. Phone is only for people who don’t know how to email.

When should I arrive for an appointment?

Please arrive at the time given. No need to arrive early as there is almost no paperwork to do.

Dropping In

I ask that people not drop in unexpectedly, even if “just for medications”.
Even though I am friends with my patients, I request that patients not walk around my office on their own but rather wait until I am with them.
If someone feels they need to move up an appointment, please email me and we will work something out.

Middle of the Night

Once I go to sleep at night, I generally stop checking my email and fax and phone until I wake up a few hours later.

This means that I usually won’t get back to you in the middle of the night.

If you are ill in the middle of the night and it can’t wait until 6am, you should go to St lukes ER or Mo Bap ER by car or ambulance.

They have excellent doctors who will do a very safe job and will update me about what happened in the morning.

If this is not acceptable, and you feel that you need a generalist physician that will see you himself/herself in the ER or hospital, I understand.
